9. Masseria Galatea
Alessano LE, Italy

From $150 per night
ETIC Hotels Green Score: 9.5/10

What makes Masseria Galatea sustainable?
We devote ourselves daily to the cultivation of the fields, experimenting with sustainable farming techniques and paying particular attention to the sowing of local quality vegetables, ancient grains (Senatore Cappelli) and legumes (beans with black eye). We take care of the olive groves in the farm and in the surrounding area, obtaining a precious extra virgin olive oil, according to the practices of organic farming.

Thanks to a young orchard of trees recovered from the botanical culture of Salento, we get excellent fruit that we turn into delicious jams.

Our agricultural commitment is completed by the cultivation of the caper, whose flower, beautiful and fragrant, shines in the logo of Masseria Galatea.

10. Agriturismo Lama San Giorgio
Rutigliano BA, Italy

From $80 per night
ETIC Hotels Green Score: 9.5/10

What makes Agriturismo Lama San Giorgio sustainable?
The organic certification according to EC Reg. 834/2007 can only be issued by Certification Bodies recognized by the EU. In our case we use Bioagricert, one of the main Italian control bodies, for the control and certification of our organic extra virgin olive oil.

All our rooms use solar thermal to heat domestic water, thus significantly reducing the impact on the environment.

All our Suites are insulated using natural material (precisely cork). This allows for effective insulation of the rooms (resulting in less use of heating and air conditioning) without using materials that are harmful to the environment.
